What Is A Squeeze Page?

A squeeze page (which is also known as a lead capture page) is a page that you use to invite people to subscribe to your mailing list or newsletter.

You would generally design your squeeze page with a catchy headline and text that provides a reason, or a ‘call to action’ for the person to subscribe. Quite often a free offer is made, such as a free report,  as an additional incentive for the reader to subscribe.

The design of a squeeze or lead capture page is generally laid out so that it all fits on the screen without the need to scroll down the page. That’s not to say that you are restricted to a particular page length, but they do tend to be more effective if the website visitor isn’t required to read a long essay or scroll down the page.

Squeeze pages are most often associated with internet marketing, but they can be effective for almost any business that uses email or a newsletter to deliver information and product offers to customers or potential customers.
